Hardware in the Loop Department In the field of detecting and controlling, hardware in the loop is the application of algorithms and control commissions to hardware, when environmental and working conditions for the functioning of the hardware is made suitable. With this job the real behavior of the system can be assessed. Most of the efforts done in the field of controlling satellite conditions and hardware simulating of the space environment in the country are limited to the computer simulations or static experiments in the Laboratories. The reasons are: scarcity of simulator hardware in functional environment of the satellite, lacking the capability for the making of subcategories for their identification and control status, and high expenses for buying such systems from foreign countries. Due to the advances made in Technology field and the making of Space Research Laboratory which has led to designing and making of “three degrees freedom simulator of the satellite” and also “magnetic fields simulator”, the technical team of the Space Research Laboratory at Khajeh-Nasir-e-Din Toosi University has begun to establish “hardware in the loop department” at this Laboratory and it has made great advancements in this area. An example of such advancements is the possibility of testing control algorithms of the satellites on real hardware. Meanwhile software in loop department is an appropriate center for operative testing of control algorithms of the satellites and also for identifying the software used in control/stability subsystem of the space systems. So it is postulated that with such efforts a great headway is made for localizing the technology of making and testing control devices in space satellites.
