In order to simulate the functional environment of Space system and to assess the function of control/stability subsystem, Space Research Laboratory has begun designing and making the system of attitude simulator. This system is a stand with three degrees of freedom which can simulate the attitude of a space system and its elements like the way it actually happens in orbit. This simulator can be used to test the attitudeactuators such as reaction wheels and thrusters. Appropriate properties of this simulator have made possible the sending of control commands and the receiving of its reaction in wireless mode. This simulator can be used for testing hardware inthe loop. All the stages of designing and making such subsystems are completed by the technical team of Space Research Laboratory at Khaje-Nasir-e-Din-Toosi University. Up to now two samples called “Hagh100” and “Hojat100” are made and implemented at Space Research Laboratory.

  • Making an environment without friction in order to simulate the functional environment of the satellite. Being able to rotate 360 degrees in yaw axis (vertical axis)and roll axis( horizontal axis) and �25 degrees in pitch axis (slanting in vertical page)

  • The possibility for testing different control algorithms.

  • The possibility for testing actuators in the form of hardware inthe loop ( all subsystem elements) (ADCS)

  • The possibility for testing actuators in the form of hardware inthe loop ( all subsystem elements) (ADCS)

  • Showing the outputs of attitudes sensor in three different canals online and in the form of graphs.

  • Showing the change of angular speed in reaction wheels while following the commands.

  • Showing charge status of the energy unit

  • Preparing appropriate grounds for the instruction of central operators of earth control/guidance

  • Preparing appropriate grounds for research and students/experts instruction
